Job Description:
PURPOSE OF POSITION: Repairs, mounts and balances tires, prepares batteries, and waits on trade at the gasoline pump island.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
1. Operates and maintains all tire service equipment, including tire service truck at some locations.
2. Handles battery service.
3. Performs gasoline pump island duties.
4. Assists with inventory control, ordering of tires and battery inventory, counting and recording, TBA physical inventory and related records.
5. Performs daily inventory control on gasoline pump island.
6. Keeps shop and pump island areas clean and neatly arranged.
7. Attends schools and meeting as required.
8. Provides technical information and offers recommendations to patrons on tire and battery problems.
9. Makes petroleum - TBA and related sales and handles billing of same.
10. Become proficient and performs assigned mechanical work.
11. Adheres to Southern States No Tolerance Policy on Safety and Environment.
12. Performs other duties as assigned.
- High School graduate or equivalent.
- Mechanical aptitude required.
- Able to pass background and drug screen.
- CDL, Class B.
- Pavement equipment preferred.
