About this job



Responsibilities:
• Review account reconciliations for completeness and accuracy
• Identify and support process improvements in transaction handling
• Prepare and analyze accruals for month end close efforts
• Handle managerial financial report compilations
• Perform consolidated financial report reconciliations
• Manage various regulatory and contractual periodic reporting compliance filings

Requirements:
• Bachelor's in Accounting, Finance or related Major (master's preferred)
• Five + years of related experience at a company with annual sales over $50 million
• Excellent Microsoft Office skills, specifically Excel and Access
• Strong organizational and communication skills and the ability to work with a diverse team
•CPA/CMA certification preferred
•Fixed Asset, WMS, daily cash, multi-state sales and use tax experience preferred.
•National retail experience is preferred.

Recommended Qualifications:
• Knowledge of SAP or equivalent ERP software
•Development, analysis, and interpretation of statistical and accounting information in order to appraise operating results in terms of profitability, performance against budget, and other matters bearing on the fiscal soundness and operating effectiveness of the organization.

•Establish major economic objectives and policies for the company and prepare reports that outline the company's financial position in the areas of income, expenses, and earnings based on past, present, and future operations.

•Coordinate and direct the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts, institute and maintain other planning and control procedures (including the cost accounting system), and analyze and report variances.

•Tax planning and compliance with all federal, state, and local corporate, payroll, sales and use and other applicable taxes.

•Furnish internal reports, revise and update reports to be more useful and efficient, and furnish external reports as necessary.
