This is an exciting role in the At-Home Services portfolio at The Home Depot. The Home Depot Measurement Services (HDMS) team is looking for a strong lead developer who will be responsible for design, development, testing, documentation and maintenance of software applications. This position will work closely with the HDMS IT team to ensure the success of projects and activities assigned.
This position provides leadership skills and technical expertise for modifying and maintaining systems in order to meet user requirements and keep up with current technologies and apply to current projects. Must be results-oriented and positive with excellent analytical and communication skills. The successful candidate must be a self-starter able to perform with minimal supervision while working in a diverse team environment following Agile software development processes; a well-rounded individual with great analytical skills, excellent attention to detail, enthusiasm for taking ownership of features, and possess a strong commitment to quality.
The preferred candidate must work independently with minimal direction and have superior organizational skills. They will communicate to both business and technical audiences, as well as provide status reports to management. They will have the ability to lead multiple work streams simultaneously and manage the work load across all streams to maximize productivity.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS -
Must be eighteen years of age or older. Must pass the Drug Test. Must successfully complete any required training or orientation courses.

EDUCATION REQUIRED -
The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a high school diplomas and/or GED.

YEARS OF RELEVANT WORK EXPERIENCE - 7

PHYSICAL JOB REQUIREMENTS -
Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS -
+ At least 5-7 years of strong object oriented design skills
+ Advanced C++ development experience - Borland/Embarcadero platform preferred, should have at least 5-7 years of recent C++ experience
+ Knowledge of standard web service development frameworks and methodologies (SOAP and RESTful)
+ 5 years of HTML and JavaScript
+ 5 years of proficiency in XML, JSON
+ Strong SQL – Oracle DB experience preferred
+ 2D Graphics experience a plus
+ Experience with full development lifecycle
+ Experience in agile and waterfall development methodologies
+ Familiarity with architectural solutions that span an enterprise, middleware, messaging, SOA, data warehouse and workflow
+ Strong verbal and writing skills required
+ Math skills preferred
