Responsibilities
The Verizon Advanced Communications Professional Services Team is seeking a highly qualified Service Delivery Project Manager to perform a lead role in managing a team responsible for delivery and project management of client engagements.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for the strategic efforts that require analysis of revenue, margin, and scope of services, deliverables, budget and schedule.
- Work with internal and external business partners to identify, analyze and evaluate engagement opportunities and solutions that meet the customer's contracted requirements.
- Provide operational efficiencies to positively impact margins and the receipt of revenue.
- Responsible for overall program management and administration for the key components of the Advanced Services Consulting & Integration Services engagements.
- Manage team and program communications (up through executive level), business metrics reporting, consolidated executive project status.
- Manages the resources, processes and drives the direction of the delivery team, including management of personnel and development of the strategy, to deliver engagements.
Qualifications
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- BS/BA Degree or equivalent relevant professional experience.
- 3+ years of post-sales client facing service management and delivery experience for managed IT and telecom solutions.
- Experience managing Third Party Vendors in delivery of services
- Experience managing teams of 3+ engineer resources, directing and managing work effort
- Proven understanding of delivery/project management processes and principles, including experience producing associated deliverables.
- Demonstrated experience serving as a technical and business consultant in the following areas:
- Network Infrastructures
- Contact Center Solutions
- Security
- Unified Communications
- Voice
- Strong leadership skills coupled with excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills
- Experience managing remote and matrixed resources across multiple business and technical silos.
- Extensive team management experience including resource planning and fiscal management
- Strong client facing communication skills to accurately represent and convey information both in verbal and written form
- Demonstrated ability to serve as an executive interface for internal and client-facing interactions.
- Ability to manage several work streams with competing and conflicting priorities simultaneously
- Self-motivated individual with a positive attitude and good team development skills.
- Ability to work overtime if required.
- Ability to travel as necessary (Up to 50%)
- PMI Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification required.
- ITIL Foundation Certification required.
