Job Summary:
This position is responsible for administering the technical monitoring, support and administration of the SAP / Net Weaver system landscape including ECC 6.0, Enterprise Portal, Solution Manager, Process Integration, Business Warehouse, GRC and other SAP components.

Primary (Essential) Functions:
  • Manage SAP user's roles and responsibilities in accordance with SOX compliance
  • Create and modify roles and authorizations in support of ongoing systems evolution, including short and long-term projects
  • Participate in auditing routines and systems reviews with focus on access control
  • Demonstrate strong customer service and organizational skills
  • Manage the SAP infrastructure, with focus on SAP operations running on MS SQL Server
  • Execute daily operational activities related to the SAP environment including; object transports, setup/configuration, operational SAP monitoring, error handling, performance/tuning, and problem determination/resolution
  • Evaluate, install, configure and deploy SAP applications, systems software, products and/or enhancements to existing applications throughout the enterprise
  • Provide direction and assistance to functional and technical teams in support of SAP operations
  • Support performance tuning/proactive monitoring of SAP systems
  • Support Hardware/Software upgrades and maintenance on Microsoft Windows Servers and other platforms
  • Provide 24 x 7 response as well as evening and weekend hours when necessary

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • A combination of SAP ECC 6, BW 7, XI/PI 7, EP 7 and Solution Manager 7; GRC experience a plus
  • Minimum of 3 years of SAP Basis experience
  • Experience with ABAP and Java stacks
  • Strong understanding of Windows Server and MS SQL Server technologies
  • Superior analytical skills

· Ability to speak, understand and write English; ability to speak and present information and ideas to individuals or groups

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills for presenting information and responding to questions from coworkers, vendors, clients and customers

· Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions

· Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations

· Ability to prioritize and manage commitments and adjust to changing priorities





Education and Experience:



· Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience

· 3+ years of relevant and progressive SAP Basis Administrator experience

Supervision and Decision Making:

· This position has no supervisory responsibilities
