FULL TIME PURCHASING ASSISTANT POSITION

NEENAH, WI

Pay: $14.00-16.00/hour

JOB DESCRIPTION:

- Provide administrative support to all aspects of the company's purchasing, inventory control and material management processes
- Participate in purchasing conversations with local suppliers
- Process purchase orders and work in conjunction with all internal departments to ensure materials/services are purchased in a timely manner.
- Monitor overdue orders, process & expedite as necessary
- Works with customer/supplier to handle complaints
- Monitor, report on and improve Supplier performance
- Act as first point of contact for pricing and invoicing queries, delivery queries and general correspondence both for suppliers and internal departments
- Administration and management of internal databases (SAP) to ensure all information is accurate and updated, vendor records, info records, material master maintenance, also Reach compliance, Health & Safety regulations etc.
- Proactively seek cost saving opportunities through analysing current operations & data in conjunction with the sourcing Managers
- Produce and maintain sourcing department, expenditure, savings & KPI reports on a monthly basis.
- Provide any relevant purchasing administration as and when required for the smooth running of the Sites.
- Management of local,small spend areas & responsibility for designated local category spend (MRO)

- Working to provide relief and support of Buyer and Purchasing Manager
- Supporting P/O confirmations, invoice tracking, vendor calls

QUALIFICATIONS:

- 1+ year experience within a sourcing or purchasing administration role
- Must understand the purchasing process and be familiar with purchasing terminology
- Experience working with vendors and suppliers to push purchase orders through
- HS Diploma or equivalent education level.
- Competent in MS Office Suite, including Word, Excel & PowerPoint
- Manufacturing experience

- Effective communication skills (written and oral), Strong customer service focus, Methodical approach to planning & organization, and Flexible approach to working hours.
