Overview:
Credit Granting Representatives are responsible for answering incoming customer service phone calls related to credit card application requests, account guideline increases, and the approval of sales and checks.
Key Accountabilities:
- Answer phone calls from sales associates and customers requesting to open a new credit card account, increase a current account guideline, and approve a sale. Appropriate action must be taken according to the type of call, all while maintaining professional conversation and providing good customer service.
- Complete account maintenance including address changes, lost/stolen reports, and returned mail.
- Ensure compliance to adverse action.
- Review and investigate credit bureau disputes.
- Review, research, and decision credit requests via queues or reports.
Skills Summary:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
- Excellent customer service, communication, problem solving, analytical, decision-making, follow-up, and organizational skills required.
- Knowledge of Microsoft applications preferred.
- Computer keyboarding and navigational skills required.
