Summary

Sales Ambassador

Sales Ambassador Job Summary- The Sales Ambassador is responsible for tackling new projects in the field. This position is one of the primary focal points of our entire business. As such, the ideal candidate is a natural showman who is willing to work hard to further our mutual interests. Essentially, the Sales Ambassador generates excitement, brand awareness, and increases product sales through event sampling and promotion. The individual will interact with consumers, clients, customers, and is responsible for understanding and implementing promotional techniques. This position will perform a wide range of activities: from brand promotion, training, product merchandising, and selling of products and services.

Sales Ambassador Job Responsibilities-

  • Drive brand awareness, education and sales for a well-known, high-end household appliance manufacturer.
  • Create an exciting, highly engaging, and educational in store theater performance and distinctive brand experience.
  • Demonstrate, sell and create brand enthusiasts through these performances at club and specialty retailers.


Event Set-up and Breakdown

  • Responsible for event set-up, sampling, and program breakdown.
  • Ensuring demonstration area is clean, organized, and correctly set up according to the instructions provided.
  • Communicate pro-actively with event Supervisor.
  • Accurately complete and timely submit HR paperwork and reports online; call reports, expense reports (if applicable), training certification quizzes, etc... Participate in mandatory on-line training and conference calls (paid).
  • Attend initial training via on-line and conference call (specific date still TBD) as well as possible ongoing monthly product training, team meetings, client trainings, etc.


Sales Ambassador Job Requirements-

Education & Experience

  • High School Diploma, G.E.D. or 1- 2 years equivalent, applicable work experience.
  • Prior promotional and event experience required, ideally with home products or other high end items that require deep knowledge and understanding of products for demonstration.


Skills & Competencies

  • Highly effective communicator, must demonstrate strong salesmanship, showmanship, charisma and clear communication.
  • Highly social, sharp, engaging, friendly, inviting with experience including responsibility for sales and / or sales event operational details.
  • Able to stand and talk for entire shift.
  • Has access to reliable transportation.
  • Must be able to regularly commute to locations within a minimum of a 20 mile radius of your primary residence.


Responsibilities

The Brand Ambassador generates excitement, brand awareness, and increases product sales through event sampling and promotion. The individual will interact with consumers, clients, customers, and is responsible for understanding and implementing promotional techniques. This position will perform a wide range of activities ranging from brand promotion, training, product merchandising, and selling of products and services.

Brand Awareness & Sales:

Create brand awareness and positive impressions of the product by engaging consumers through sampling/distributing product and demonstrating product features. Interaction with consumers through sampling/distributing products and creating brand awareness and positive impressions. Responsible for ensuring brand talking points are communicated effectively with consumers. Seek sales opportunities in departments throughout the store and other venues to maximize sales and sales of related attachments.

Job Requirements

High School Diploma, G.E.D. or 1- 2 years equivalent applicable work experience Significant experience in event marketing, demonstrations, sales, or retail/grocery is highly desirable. Ability to interact with management, clients, and consumers in any setting. Candidates must have excellent communication and people skills, be natural problem solvers Be professional and must have clean hygiene in appearance. Able to work independently with little or no supervision. Able to stand and talk for entire shift. Friendly and outgoing personality, enthusiastic, and energetic. Capable of set-up, event activation, breakdown. Ability to clearly and effectively communicate the details of the event and the participating brands to consumers. Ability to stand for 6-8 hours on a continuous basis and actively move a distance of about ½ mile (other than legally required breaks/meal periods) to obtain, set up, and clean up demonstration cart and related equipment/materials; obtain product from shelves; conduct demonstration event. Carrying, lifting, lowering appliances/equipment weighing up to 30 lbs. a distance of 20 feet and up to 10 feet overhead. Must be capable of bending and kneeling, reaching and lifting, and squatting for short periods of time etc. When conducting demonstrations involving alcoholic beverages, associate must be 21 years of age or older in order to conduct the event. Certain certifications may be required depending on the type of products you are promoting such as Food Safety Certification, Responsible Alcohol Server Certification. (Certification training and testing will be provided during employment by the company). Certain product demonstrations may require an associate to have specialized talent, experience, expertise, skills, knowledge, or certification in order to be eligible to conduct a particular event. If an associate does not satisfy the particular requirements for the specialized event, he/she would remain eligible for the standard, non-specialized events otherwise available to all associates in the position. Has access to reliable transportation. Must be able to regularly commute to locations within a minimum of a 20 mile radius of your primary residence.

Continuously (66%-100% of time): Stand, walk, and use hands and/or arms for repetitive motion, simple grasping, firm grasping (pushing, pulling arm controls) and fine manipulation.
