Remedy Intelligent Staffing is seeking a Branch Manager for our valued client located southeast of Madison. This is a direct hire opportunity with a well respected company in our community. We are seeking a motivated individual that is responsible for overseeing the store and warehouse. Previous experience in the construction arena is helpful.
Responsibilities
• Manage staff, preparing work schedules and assigning specific duties.
• Oversee employee training, appraise performance, disciplinary action, etc.
• Establish and implement departmental policies, goals, objectives, and procedures, conferring with board members, organization officials, and staff members as necessary.
• Maintains key customer relationships to ensure quotes and orders are properly handled
• Direct and coordinate activities of businesses or departments concerned with the pricing, sales and distribution of products.
• Review financial statements, sales and activity reports, and other performance data to measure productivity and goal achievement and to determine areas needing cost reduction and program improvement.
• Plan and direct activities such as sales promotions, coordinating with other department heads as required.
• Determine goods and services to be sold, and set prices and credit terms, based on forecasts of customer demand.
• Responsible for purchasing and inventory control, verifying receipt of merchandise, oversees monthly inventory tracking.
• Maintains awareness of the condition, capacity, and capabilities of store, yard, and warehouse, and ensures appropriate personnel take action to maintain equipment, ensure safety and maintenance of building and grounds.
Requirements
• High School Diploma required, additional schooling is preferred
• Knowledge of accounting, inventory, vendor, payroll and Point-of-Sale software is helpful
• 5 years retail or construction experience and 2 years Management experience required
• Able to use forklift, hand tools and have general construction knowledge
• Valid Driver's License is required; CDL preferred
• Able to problem solve effectively
• Strong mathematic skills
• Strong attention to detail and time management skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Able to lift and move 25 lbs
