Description

  • Perform one or more Distribution Center outbound functions such as loading, picking, or packing orders for shipment.
  • Perform all tasks according to the proper method for the Distribution Center Warehouse Management System or paper.
  • Locate and pull merchandise by matching item codes and numbers on the pick ticket against part number on merchandise and place in tote or stage bulk items in appropriate area. Tote weights should not exceed 60 lbs. When order is completed, mark tote by customer number and send down the conveyor.
  • Maintain Distribution Center standards for both accuracy and productivity when picking orders.
  • Consolidate and pack all stock order merchandise quickly and accurately in a manner in which the order can be checked in by the customer with the least amount of effort. Keep the tote weight under 60lbs. Make sure all totes are labeled for the correct store.
  • Itemize all items not shipped in totes on freight bill as soon as they are received. Make sure all freight bills are dated with the correct route and totaled at day's end. Also, make sure all hazardous material is itemized correctly.
  • Operate handheld computers (RF units) and/or voice picking equipment at Warehouse Management System Distribution Centers.

REQUIRED:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must be able to work closely and well with others in a team environment.
  • Ability to read and match numbers and alphabetic letters quickly and accurately.
  • Good mathematical skills.
  • Good handwriting.

DESIRED:

  • Similar work experience in a warehouse environment.

Work Schedule: 5 am start time, 3-4 days/week, weekends off
