Universal Orlando Gameskeepers share the love of the game with our guests and encourage guests to play and win fabulous prizes! A Gameskeeper announces game winners and makes a ceremonious award of the prizes that are won to create a fun and exciting experience for our guests.
Gameskeepers at Universal Orlando are responsible for:
- Generating excitement and interest in game participation by selling guests on fun and the possibility of winning prizes through friendly banter and persuasive suggestive selling techniques.
- Providing friendly, positive, and supportive instruction and demonstrate games.
- Announcing game winners, awards and distributing prizes.
- Serving as cashier in securing and handling monies from guests and meet or exceed per-cap quotas.
- Performing vault duties by accurately counting and record all revenues.
- Maintaining accurate and timely physical inventories of all games merchandise
- Ensuring cleanliness and safety of the games area.
- Reporting any game malfunctions and defective equipment to Managers and Leads in a timely manner.
- Understanding and actively participating in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established Universal Orlando policies, procedures, training and Team Member involvement activities.
- Performing other duties as assigned.
To perform the role of a Gameskeeper successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
- Consistent attendance and punctuality is a job requirement.
- High school diploma or GED preferred. High school or equivalent, Math aptitude.
- Cash handling and guest service experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to print and speak simple sentences.
- Ability to write simple correspondence.
- Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals and ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
- Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.
- Gamekeepers must continuously demonstrate a positive and engaging personality and encourage guests to play their game. As a key provider of guest service, Gamekeepers must continuously exemplify UO’s “SERVICE PLUS” characteristics, always providing additional friendly aggressive interaction with guests to effectively “sell” fun through game activities.

- While performing the duties of this job, the individual is regularly required to stand; walk; sit; and talk or hear.
- The individual is frequently required to climb or balance; and reach with hands and arms; and occasionally required to use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls; and stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, or crawl.
- The individual must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision; distance vision; and color vision.
The work environment characteristics described below are representative of those an individual encounters while performing the essential functions of the Gameskeeper job.
- While performing the duties of this job, the individual is regularly exposed to outdoor weather conditions; and extreme heat (non-weather).
