We are have two exciting opportunities for Marketing Events and Community Relations Specialists to join our team.  In this position you will  touch both prospects and existing members through the building of community relationships with key community partners, FQHCs, and general public with regards to events and organized activities in promoting brand recognition.  You will be responsible for planning and executing over 100 community events per year.


Primary Responsibilities:

  • Analyze customer behavior to drive understanding of
    current and future customer and market needs.
  • Conduct/utilize market research and competitive analyses
    (e.g., strength, weaknesses, strategies) to drive understanding of business requirements and development of marketing
    strategy.
  • Analyze member/customer data to identify and analyze
    customer/market trends, themes, issues (e.g., call center data, customer survey data, functional health checks).
  • Demonstrate understanding of applicable laws,
    regulations, contracts, and compliance requirements (e.g., HIPAA, Healthcare Reform/PPACA, state contracts, CMS).
  • Define target markets or customer groups and their
    specific requirements (e.g., segmentation).
  • Demonstrate understanding of applicable business
    strategies/goals and how they can address customer requirements and marketing efforts.
  • Demonstrate understanding of applicable products and
    services (e.g., features, benefits, audiences, differentiators).
  • Develop understanding of applicable sales channels (e.g.,
    consultants, brokers, trade groups) to drive marketing strategy.
  • Perform
    analysis of customer and business requirements to drive development of
    marketing strategies (e.g., budgets)
  • Align marketing initiatives/campaigns with applicable business goals/objectives, as well as the needs of identified target populations/clients
  • Ensure that marketing efforts target applicable internal and external audiences/constituencies, in alignment with business goals (e.g., customers, members, brokers/consultants)
  • Identify/develop/review creative concepts/content
  • Investigate non-standard requests and problems, with some
    assistance from others. 
  • Building relationships in the community in order to grow and
    retain Membership.
  • Create opportunities through UnitedHealthcare Community Plan
    events with targeted PCP, CBOs, and FBOs.
  • Execute Marketing plan.
  • Coordinate and Execute UHCCP events (i.e., Community Days, Dr.
    Health E. Hound Fitness Challenge, etc.).
  • Develop exceptional relationships with community-based partners,
    advocacies, Providers, and agency partners.
  • Employees in this position are involved in
    developing Marketing strategies to support products and drive Membership/Sales
    growth. Employees develop strategies and tactical plans to support
    Consumer/Member innovation, support New Product and Program launches, and
    combat competitive pressures. May also analyze economic considerations, develop
    Marketing forecasts, estimate costs, and manage Program/Project budgets
  • Be a Community expert of targeted areas.
  • Responsible for local Brand Awareness through community
    involvement by targeting and participating in key events (such as Health Fairs,
    Community focus groups, Educational Wellness seminars, Fitness events, Fun
    Walks, etc.), through existing relationships and the creation of new ones.
  • Influence or provide input to forecasting and planning
    activities with targeted Physicians.
  • Responsible for data input and tracking of information into
    department-specific programs (FAST, Sales Force, etc.).
  • Educate and assist current and potential Members regarding the
    UHCCP program (i.e., presentations, one-on-one conversations, etc.).
  • Work with Internal cross-functional teams (including Clinical,
    Network, and Care Management) to help facilitate issue resolutions, as
    appropriate.
  • Ensure compliance and quality Outreach efforts, adhering to all
    applicable State and Federal Regulatory requirements and procedures.
  • Set individual work schedule and event development strategies to
    attract and retain membership market share in targeted markets.
  • Responsible for meeting or exceeding UHCCP targeted growth,
    retention, and enrollment expectations within assigned region.
  • Represent UHCCP at community meetings and coalitions.
  • Attend conferences as required.
  • Analyze and investigate.

Requirements

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree.
  • 1+ year of Event Planning or Marketing experience.
  • 1+ year experience with Medicaid population.
  • 1+ years experience in Community Outreach with established relationships with community and state based organizations.
  • Previous experience working with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to work evening and weekends.
  • Must have a current driver's license and insurance.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Previous experience in meeting promotion/marketing targets.
