About this job

Candidate will perform technical and administrative tasks in the manufacturing area related to RoHS for the Compliance Department. Duties may include; researching component information, editing and verifying bills of materials for compliance, assisting with deviation and Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) documentation and implementation, providing technical support for RoHS team members, developing or updating work instructions, ensuring all procedures for RoHS follow proper ISO procedures.

Essential Functions:

  • Accurately perform verification of production material through watching and learning the manufacture of products through all process steps; i.e. printed circuit board assembly, fabrication, plastic injection molding, and final assembly.
  • Accurately collect and perform computer data entry of verified information through hands-on work, email requests, and in-person information exchanges.
  • Develop Engineering Change Order (ECO) draft documentation for review by technical staff; revise and submit through Oracle, work with engineering staff to coordinate ECO implementation.
  • Develop draft deviation requests for review by technical staff; revise and process final deviation request through internal requirements.
  • Develop draft work instructions (WI) for review by technical staff; revise WI and process through internal requirements, communicate final WI and implement in cell.
  • Develop draft cell documentation for review by technical staff; revise and process through internal requirements, roll out final cell documentation to area.
  • Collect additional data for use as requested by technical staff.
  • Work with technical staff to develop changes to process and procedures that improve safety, quality, delivery or productivity.

Other Non-Essential Functions:

  • Interface with other departments as needed.
  • May be required to cross-train on other equipment or other areas as needed.
  • Required to work off-shift and/or Weekends, as needed, to support production or to maximize up-time on machinery/processes.
  • Assist with Kaizen events in area as needed.
  • Other duties throughout the facility as needed.

Education, Background and Skill Requirements

  • BA degree
  • 1-3 years related experience in an appropriate manufacturing, engineering, or facility environment depending on area of focus.
  • PC applications (Familiar with Microsoft Windows XP, or later, Microsoft Office, including but not limited to Word, Excel and Powerpoint, Internet, scanners, databases, LAN's).
  • Organized, efficient and quality conscious: Accuracy and attention to detail required.
  • Possess strong reading, writing, and math skills.
  • Must have good oral and written communication skills.
  • Must have good interpersonal skills to interface with Associates from all levels of organization.
  • Ability to assimilate and use a broad spectrum of information.
  • Self-motivated and can work independently.
