We have a full-time/part-time opening for a Maintenance Employee.

Must be able to work various shifts per week.

  • Be authorized to work in the United States.

Wage: $7.50 - $9.00

Requirements

Responsible for daily custodial duties in the store as well as the outside grounds and parking lot.

PRIMARY JOB REQUIREMENTS AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.
Other duties may be assigned.

  • Cleans building, outside parking area daily.
  • Operates vacuum cleaner.
  • Operates the trash compactor as needed.
  • Retrieves shopping carts from parking lot and makes sure they are available for customers.
  • Removes all cardboard and pallets from the store as needed.
  • Operates cardboard bailing machine
  • Changes air conditioning filters monthly.
  • Cleans the supply room daily.
  • Operates floor cleaning machine and other equipment as necessary.
  • Keeps restrooms neat and clean at all times.
  • Assures the rest rooms are adequately supplied.
  • Maintains a clean and safe work environment.
  • Abides by all Company, State, and Federal Safety and Fire Regulations.
  • Abides by all company policies and procedures.
  • Performs other duties as directed by the maintenance supervIsor or management.

QUALIFICATIONS

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Less than high school education; or up to one month related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read a limited number of two-and three-syllable words and to recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers. Ability to print and speak simple sentences.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions. Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.
