We are currently seeking a Business Operations Specialist for New York office. You will be supporting NY MLTC (Managed Long Term Care).  

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Provide administrative support to the enrollment/entitlement team related to referral, eligibility and enrollment processing
  • Perform data entry, tracking and trending of information/communication related to entitlements/enrollment/disenrollment/transfer of members
  • Assist clinical and clinical support teams in management of service authorization processing, assessment tracking and scheduling and associated communications
  • Support vendor management activities, including telephone communication, database management, document tracking and associated analysis
  • Responsible for managing incoming calls, supporting teams with requests for services/information/education from providers/members, processing and tracking assigned documentation, maintaining databases, providing notifications/reports as assigned,
  • Serve as technical support to other departments and vendors regarding department processes, timeframes and expectations, as assigned.
  • Conduct appropriate research and articulate business value driving a proposed project/initiative.
  • Assess current business processes and recommends opportunities for improvement.
  • Maintains effective communication with assigned business partners on a given project/initiative (includes any assigned reporting needs/activity).
  • In-depth knowledge of operational processes and business rules
  • Understanding of healthcare industry and regulations (to extract and analyze data)
  • Proven ability to prioritize and work well under tight deadlines while managing multiple tasks
  • Ability to work as a member of a larger overall team composed of members with differing backgrounds and skills
  • Understanding of Group Enrollment policies, procedures and systems.
  • Manage reports and dashboards for management for use in understanding Special Populations programs performance, developing action plans, and executing strategic initiatives
  • Analyze data on an on-going basis with a focus on Continuous Process Improvement
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

Required Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma/GED.
  • 2+ years of Business Operations experience.
  • 2+ years experience in an Office environment using the telephone and computer as the primary instruments to perform the job duties.
  • Managed Care experience.
Preferred Qualifications: 
  • Associate's or Bachelor's Degree.
  • Knowledge of Medicaid and Medicare.
  • Knowledge of Medical Terminology.
  • Bilingual (English and Spanish)
  • Bilingual (English and Russian)
