An Ohio non profit member association serving local child care resource and referral agencies is seeking a part-time fiscal associate. This association provides training and activities that promote quality care and learning.

The fiscal associate administers a fiscal component of a grant program related to the association members. This position will serve as a liaison with the grant recipients, working with them to coordinate their financial reports so that funds can be released to them. In addition, this position will be cross-trained with other fiscal, accounting staff to provide backup.

This position reports to the assistant director of the association, who reports to the COO. This position's responsibilities were handled prior by the AP individual and the association has decided to split the responsibilities. Therefore, there will be guidance in this role to implement its responsibilities. This non-profit uses proprietary software similar to Access and also uses Blackbaud.

This position is designed to start at 20 hours a week, with the work days being Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday. The organization is located in the northeast/east part of Columbus. The position may require some travel around the state.

The qualifications expected include exceptional interpersonal skills and attention to detail. The individual shall work collaboratively in a team environment. The candidate must have knowledge of nonprofit financial and accounting principles and practices. The individual should also have an understanding of how grants work and have prior program management skills. The person should be very comfortable working with databases.
