Job Summary



Under general supervision, the Workforce Compliance Specialist will administer the Company’s workplace accommodation policies, procedures, and initiatives; maintain and analyze workplace accommodations related data; and provide support in connection with compliance investigations.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities

Administer Workplace Accommodation Processes
  • Timely administer all aspects of the interactive reasonable accommodation process (including but not limited to those related to disability, pregnancy, and religion) in accordance with Company policy and applicable law.
  • Administration responsibilities include, without limitation, reviewing accommodation requests; communicating with associates; reviewing and comprehending records; developing an understanding of job duties associated with relevant Company positions; evaluating requests in relation to relevant job duties; communicating with medical providers (as authorized); making recommendations; and preparing written documentation and communications regarding accommodation requests, decisions, and status.
  • Accurately and completely maintain confidential records and track information using Company and vendor systems.


Communication and Process Coordination
  • Partner with the leave of absence team in connection with leave-related accommodations.
  • Serve as liaison between Company, associates requesting accommodations, managers, and third party vendors in connection with workforce accommodations.
  • Collaborate internally within the Legal Department as well as with other departments (such as Workers Compensation, Human Resources, and Talent Acquisition) in connection with pending and potential accommodation requests.


Data Analysis and Reporting
  • Enter and maintain accommodations-related data. Develop and maintain accurate reports to track accommodation requests and related information. Create and format reports using internal and/or 3rd party vendor software. Perform preliminary analysis of data.


Investigations Support
  • Provide investigation support to the Legal Department as needed, including without limitation, fact-finding, gathering data, requesting and/or running reports, and collecting and reviewing documents.

This position does not have guidance or mentoring responsibilities for indirect reports.

Minimum Qualifications

Education Level: (Required): Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience



2 years of experience working with disability or leave administration under the Americans with Disabilities Act and other state leave and accommodation programs.

2 years of call center experience in a team-based environment in human resources, benefits administration or health-related field.

Skills, Knowledge and Abilities
  • Functional knowledge of HIPAA, FMLA, ADA, and state accommodation and leave laws, statutes, liabilities, and procedures.
  • Keen attention to detail.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Proven ability to quickly and accurately input, review, organize, and analyze data.
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills with internal contacts at all levels of the organization as well as external contacts (such as vendors and medical personnel).
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Able to handle sensitive issues in a highly confidential manner.
  • Demonstrated time management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and high volume of work.
  • Adaptability to changing demands, priorities, circumstances, and directions.
  • Ability to work independently, but also successful collaborating with team members.

Environmental & Physical Requirements



Office / Sedentary Requirements

Incumbent must be able to perform the essential functions of the job. Work is performed primarily in an office environment. Typically requires the ability to sit for extended periods of time (66%+ each day), ability to hear the telephone, ability to enter data on a computer and may also require the ability to lift up to 10 pounds.
