About this job
Driving an automatic, off-road semi, sometimes called spotter trucks or yard trucks. Must have experience hooking up to flatbed trailers, 48'-0" to 70'-0" long. Multi-tasking to move 40-65 trailers per day for 5 forklift loaders, 2 cranes men, and 4-5 production lines. These trucks are registered as off-road trucks. Very similar to a day cab semi with this exception- the truck has the ability to lift the fifth wheel 1-3 ft high by a hydraulic lifting gate. This gate gives the driver the ability to mobilize flatbed trailers at multiple heights.
This position is on-site driving only. Must have clean driving record and background.
