Customer Service Representative- Long Term Opportunity

These individuals will be taking a variety of calls regarding refills, new scripts, drug information, etc. The reps must be able to navigate between multiple programs, usually 4, and multi-task on the computer.

During the peaks, the calls will be back-to-back and during the down time, the calls will be at a slower pace. Range from 50-80 per day.

* Answer and respond to incoming calls from a variety of customers, pharmacies and doctors' offices.
* Utilize on-line resources to determine coverage requirements under various program scenarios.
* Educate callers using approved scripting to explain coverage of medication, including limits/ conditions that may be part of their drug coverage.
* Gather preliminary information from callers to initiate case review for medication following standard operating procedures.
* Fax criteria information needed to obtain coverage to the prescriber's office for completion; or transfer call to a pharmacist or CSR for case completion.
* Respond to status inquiries providing accurate information located in internal, on-line systems.
* Assist retail pharmacies with rejected claim adjudications.
* Convey a positive company image over the telephone.
* Complete fax entries for case completion as assigned.
* Ensure audit, compliance and legislative requirements are adhered too and appropriate. systems and controls are implemented as needed.
* Perform other special projects, related duties and responsibilities as assigned
