The GLASS GALLERY is America's Premier blown glass gift retailer.
For over 35 years we have been offering beautiful hand blown glass gifts and crystal figurines.
Through the years we have operated over 190 stores/kiosks in 30 different states.
Our Headquarters is located in St Louis Missouri.
We are currently hiring Sales Associates to help with the day to day operations at Edison MALL from November 9th through January 5. Positions are part time from 12-30 hours per week. Day, evening, and weekend shifts are available.
We are a wonderful group of people to work with and we do have fun!
COMPENSATION:
* Base pay is $9.00/hour plus
* INCENTIVES AND BONUS for maximizing sales,
* 50% discount on merchandise.
PERSONALITY REQUIREMENTS:
* A mature and responsible individual who enjoys retail, selling, and working with the public
* An enthusiastic people person with an outgoing, honest, take-charge personality
* An individual willing to learn and provide outstanding customer service for our company
* Must be teachable and willing to learn our methods and systems for operating our store
WE NEED A SALES ASSOCIATE WHO WILL:
* Assist customers with buying decisions and purchases, wrap and package their gifts
* Be responsible for the presentation of our gifts and displays to showcase our gift items
* Keep our inventory prepared and ready for sale
* Process sales transactions on a computerized cash register
BACKGROUND REQUIREMENTS:
* 2 plus years of retail, sales, and/or customer service experience (especially in the gift industry)
* Experience with computerized cash registers
* Ability to operate a smart phone or a computer tablet
* Good math skills
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
* Manual dexterity to wrap, box, and package gifts for customers
* Ability to occasionally lift and move 40 lbs., twist and move short distances
* Bend, stoop and reach with ease
* Be on your feet and moving for 2-3 hours at a time
HOURS:
Part time, 12-30 hours per week - day, evening, and weekend shifts available.
