Primary Responsibilities:





  • Manage multiple priorities and meet non-negotiable deadlines

  • Anticipate customer needs and proactively develops solutions to meet them

  • Produce standard and non-standard reports and ad-hoc analyses

  • Review work performed by others and provides recommendations for enhancements

  • Solve complex problems and develops innovative solutions

  • Define and document processes, including quality assurance measures, and adherence to processes

  • Actively contribute and participate in team meetings and project specific discussions

  • Motivate and inspire other team members



This position preferably located in Golden Valley, MN


Moving to Eden Prairie, MN in 2015                                                      

Requirements

Required Qualifications:




  • Bachelor's degree

  • 3+ years business analysis experience

  • Proficiency with SAS which includes the ability to:


    • Interpret requests and ask appropriate clarifying questions prior to beginning work

    • Ability to convert existing processes (Excel, Access) to run in SAS

    • Write and understand complex code

    • Interpret output and troubleshoot code

    • Code and understand complex joins using multiple tables and various join types (left, right, inner, outer)

    • Manipulate large datasets efficiently

  • 3+ years of experience integrating data from large relational databases

  • 3+ years of experience in analyzing health insurance claims, health assessment, or similar types of clinical, program or employer data

  • Excellent verbal and written communication, time/project management, problem solving, organizational, and analytical skills

  • Intermediate level of proficiency with PC based software programs and automated database management systems required (Excel, Access)

 


 



Preferred Qualfifcations:





  • Ability to write/understand complex SQL queries involving advanced unions, joins, aggregations and groups


  • Knowledge of SAS Grid environment
