Quality Engineer/Source Inspection Specialist

Quality EngineerShift: Monday-Friday 1st Shift

Quality Engineer Position Responsibilities:
  • Act as Liaison between manufacturing facilities and facilitate resolution of quality concerns based on receiving inspection, in-process audits and customer complaints
  • Perform on-site source inspection activities
  • Perform In-Process inspection / Develop / support the development of process instruction, QAinspection instructions, etc.,
  • Ensure compliance to customer contractual requirements. Provide support for the QCS in the development, tracking and maintenance of compliance matrix.
  • Responsible for generating and maintaining Quality Plans as required, including maintaining their Configuration Control in accordance with ISO and MIL requirements.
  • Responsible for monitoring and tracking NDGQ performance for the customer and facilitating continuous improvement activities to improve performance
  • Responsible for interfacing with other areas of the Quality organization (i.e.: supplier Quality) and/or other functional areas within ND to facilitate resolution of customer Quality issues.
  • Successful application of various Continuous Improvement tools. (i.e. Lean, Six Sigma, PPAP,PFMEA, etc.)
  • Quality Engineering activities including root cause analysis and corrective action.


Qualified Quality Engineer for The Position Will Have Met The Following:
  • Required:
    • Experience as a Quality Engineer /Source Inspection Specialist
    • Knowledge of Class 8 Trucks
    • Be able to work on Long-Term Contract Work



Working Conditions:
Shop, office, yard, vehicle environment, may require lifting of 20 to 50 lbs., at least once a day.
