Centers for Family Medicine and Premier Physicians Medical Group serve the communities within Orange and southern Los Angeles counties. The combined medical group is composed of 15 practices with more than 90 physicians and mid-level providers. From pediatric and adolescent medicine, to adult and senior care, Centers for Family Medicine & Premier Physicians strive to provide a higher level of service through our unique, patient-driven model.


 

As a part of our continued growth, we are searching for a new Front Office Medical Assistant to join our team...

Primary Responsibilities of the Front Office Medical Assistant:


  • Answering a high volume of incoming phone calls

  • Returning calls, assisting with referrals & take messages for Providers

  • Making outbound calls to patients to discuss lab results, schedule appointments etc.

  • Taking prescription refill requests off of the Rx line

  • Scanning documents and faxes into the EMR system

  • Assisting with patient check-in and back office MA duties on an as-needed basis

Requirements

Requirements:


  • High School Diploma or GED

  • Current Medical Assistant Certificate

  • Experience handling a multiple phone line system

  • Intermediate computer proficiency with MS Office: Outlook, Word and Excel

  • Excellent Customer Service skills.

Assets:


  • 1 or more years of MA experience in a Medical office; Front Office experience

  • Call center experience

  • Electronic Medical Record (EMR) experience preferred: NextGen

  • Working knowledge of Health Insurance: HMO, PPO, Medicare and Medicaid

  • Managed Care experience

  • Bilingual in Spanish is a plus
