Within our Architectural Coatings business, we produce paints, stains, and specialty coatings under the PPG Pittsburgh® Paints, PPG Olympic® Paints and Stains, and PPG Porter® Paints brands, and service the North American coatings industry across three channels.
PPG is proud to announce that we have recently completed the acquisition of the AkzoNobel North American Architectural Coatings business. This acquisition provides our newly combined Trade organization a tremendous platform for profitable growth. This acquisition enables us to now operate in 800 retail stores, sell through over 4,000 dealer stores and supply product to large home improvement retailers, such as Lowe's and Home Depot. This acquisition also brings a portfolio of well established brands to PPG such as Glidden, Glidden Professional, Ralph Lauren Paint, Devoe Coatings and Martha Stewart Living paints; Flood, Sikkens and Synteko woodcare products; plus Liquid Nails adhesives and caulks.

POSITION OVERVIEW
Architectural Coatings has an opening for an experienced sales professional for its TrueFinish Industrial Coatings group. TrueFinish is a newly formed, highly visible team focused on selling OEM coatings to job shops and small to mid size manufacturers. The candidate should have a minimum of 3-5 years experience selling industrial liquid and powder coatings, and an ability to provide technical field support on their products.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develop the market for TrueFinish products. Achieve sales objectives. Provide market feedback on product and service needs and requirements to grow the market. Function in a full sales capacity while also providing the customer hands on technical support in the use, specification and application of the product line. Work with other AF sales reps to assist them in finding and selling TrueFinish accounts, provide product and application training to the other sales reps, and keep the sales manager apprised of market development.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
1. Current Accounts - manage/ develop current customer accounts, account receivables and expenses to achieve sales growth and /or profit objectives
2. New Business Development- identify, pursue, negotiate, develop and implement plan with new accounts
3. Competitor Awareness - understand competitor offerings (products & services) and develop counter measures; provide information to management/functional personnel regarding the competition, product performance and customer acceptance.

REQUIREMENTS:
· Business degree or equivalent experience.
· Experience/Knowledge
· Strong interpersonal skills - to communicate effectively with all customer levels (business owners, purchasing personnel, product users)
· Strong communications skills - in writing, IT presentations, public speaking and one to one negotiations.
· Candidate should have minimum of 3 years of sales and/or technical skills in industrial OEM coatings. The candidate will work independently in the market and must be able to function in an industrial setting with little direct support.
· Strong self-motivation
· Clean driving license.
· Willingness to travel
