Transportation Manager

Impact

As a Transportation Manager you will work with the internal team as well as external vendors to create efficient, cost effective routes. This helps our customer's mail be processed on time and be delivered as quickly as possible. This position is located in Hartford, Connecticut.

The Job

  • Create cost effective and efficient mail pickup routes
  • Comply with corporate and DOT hours of service, regulatory requirements for FMCSA-regulated drivers and non-regulated drivers, as well as OSHA and safety regulations.
  • Work with Vendors to ensure they are meeting our expectations.
  • Work with Customers on a daily basis to gauge the level of service being provided.
  • Provide Management with route analysis.
  • Additional Duties as Required.

Qualification
  • High School Degree or GED Required
  • 2 - 5 years of operations/transportation management experience preferred.
  • Must be Certified in Safety Training
  • Proficient in MS-Office, Word, Excel and Powerpoint.
  • Previous experience managing drivers and routes.
  • Previous experience in the mailing industry preferred.
