Maintenance Technician - Full-time / Part-time

CSM operates in 60 locations with over 9,500 employees worldwide. The North American division, develops, produces and sells a wide selection of bakery ingredients and products to professional bakeries, top consumer food companies, grocers and retailers.

The company is currently looking for a revamp of their current Maintenance Technicians.

Candidates need to have worked in an food manufacturing environment for at least 2-3 years. The shift times for the opening(s) will be:
3rd shift (9:00pm - 5:30am)

They have to be able to work OT when necessary.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
-Perform preventativemaintenance on production equipmen, heating and cooling systems, ingredient handling systems, and plumbing systems (includes office and plant facilities).
-Starts machines to test operation following repairs.
-Records PM tasks and work orders in a timely manner.
-Troubleshoot various areas in the pant, including Frozen Department, Dry Mix Dept, Tower, Basement, Compressor Room and Boiler room through regular inspection and test procedures.
-Maintains safe and efficient use of pneumatics, air compressors, air dryer operation, small tools, grinders and welding equipment in performance of duties.
-Completes work orders and responds to maintenance calls on the Production floor in a time manner.
-Inventories spare parts and reports usage: suggests re-orders to appropriate Manager.
-Performs basic repairs within office facility on furniture, lighting, paging system, etc. (random/if necessary)
-Properly maintain tools and keep work area neat and orderly.
-Installing, maintaining, repairing and overhauing production equipment.
-Performing sanitary welding on equipment and food processing piping.
-Installing and maintianing electrical equipment/controls, circuits and PLC.
-Troubleshooting/identifying worn parts and rebuilding machine assemblies, pumps, meters, valves, valve actuators and other equipment
-Start up and operate production machinery and equipment.
-Respond in a timely manner to calls at the production lines.
-Participation in facility maintenance and PM programs.
-Safe handling and use of various chemicals with strict adherence to hazardous communication and MSDS requirements.
-Follow all safety procedures and participate in safety training. Maintain safe and efficient supervisory.
-Support, and comply with all quality management systems, continuous improvement programs, food safety, employee safety, preventative maintenance programs.
-Support and comply with GMP's.
-Participate in TMP initiatives.
