Primary Responsibilities:



  • Concurrent care management, effectively influencing facility treatment toward best practices and ongoing stabilization and well-being for our members. Independent management of daily caseloads, collaborating with other clinicians and MDs

  • Assessment and Triage Queue-based Care Advocate: Assessing inpatient, residential, and partial treatment needs based on Level of Care Guidelines

Licensed LCSWs, LPCs, RNs (Psychiatric), LMFTs


 No nights, No weekends... No on-call! 


 


We are seeking 4 Behavioral Health Care Advocates to work 8AM – 5PM CDT, regardless of what time zone the incumbent is in.  The chosen incumbent can be in Portland, St. Louis, Houston, Chicago, or Atlanta & should reside within an hour's drive of a local Optum/UHC office.

Requirements

Required Qualifications:



  • Licensed Clinical mental health professional (LCSW, LMFT, LPC) at the independent practice level or Psychiatric RN

  • Licenses must be active and unrestricted

  • 2+ years post-licensure experience in facility-based behavioral health environment or in a managed care setting

  • Computer proficiency in windows-based systems

  • Effective negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills

  • Organizational and time management skills to work independently on caseload

  • Strong clinical conceptualization/diagnostic skills

Preferred Qualifications:



  • Inpatient experience

  • Dual diagnosis experience with mental health and substance abuse

  • Experience working in an environment that required coordination of benefits and utilization of multiple groups and resources for patients
