Seeking strong business analyst to support the Core Banking - Deposits application
This position will manage a variety of assignments varying from resolution of production tickets, release implementations and Deposits Day 2 and miscellaneous project work. The role will work closely with the Business, Vendor and DFS technical teams through all life cycle phases, and may include authoring some project related documentation in accordance to DFS standards. Duties will include troubleshooting of production issues, writing requirements and use cases, ensuring designs are thorough and efficient, ensuring testing is well thought through and executed timely. Some light project management tasks may also be required such as facilitating meetings, producing meeting minutes, and developing project plans.
This position requires a highly motivated individual who will leverage his/her business and SDLC expertise to help ensure project objectives, goals and requirements are delivered according to stakeholder expectations. The individual must be able to work independently and communicate with all stakeholders, superior or subordinate, in a timely and accurate manner. Candidate can expect to work with resources across Business Technology, especially Application Development, thus a broad business/technical engagement background is highly desired. Banking and Lending industry is preferred.

Qualifications

Candidates must meet the following requirements:
1. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multi-task and handle a large volume of work.
2. Excellent verbal and written communication skills with an ability to communicate with all levels of the
organization.
3. Proven ability to work independently to solve problems under pressure.
4. Team player and effective collaborator.
5. Understanding of software development best practices, including Change Management standards
6. 2 – 4 years business analyst experience, including a strong testing background.
7. Intermediate skill level in MS Office Suite
1. Understanding of Discover BT Infrastructure
2. Understanding of Discover Banking and Lending processes
3. Testing experience, including HPs Quality Center
4. Basic skills with Microsoft Power Point, Visio and MS Project
