The Project Analyst role reports into the Vendor Management & DRG Operations Integration Team which is a part of Optum Shared Services. Our mission is to improve the consumer experience and operational efficiency by identifying opportunities to improve on existing services, streamline processes and drive financial results. As a member of the Shared Services team you will have the opportunity to contribute towards our key goals of becoming easier to do business with; driving towards more standard product offerings; and simplifying and reengineering processes specifically as it relates to our core vendor relationships and/or data security/data release governance process.
- Responsible for researching and developing recommendations to increase scale and drive increased data controls
- Analyze business processes to develop opportunities to automate and drive efficiencies
- Analyze historical performance and to develop solutions to improve business processes
- Acts as a point person for general questions related to department initiatives
- Partner with business partners to mitigate business risk and provide ongoing communication
- Implement recommendations in partnership with functional units
- Develop and manage project plans including rollout and testing to accomplish go-live delivery dates
Requirements
- BS/BA in business related field
- 5+ years of demonstrated operations management experience in healthcare or other similar roles
- Demonstrated passion and commitment with delivering positive and effective customer service and experience
- 3+ years experience with strategic planning creation and implementation
- 3+ years experience optimizing operational processes using quantitative data to drive decisions
- Strong analytical and interpersonal skills
- Proven ability to influence and negotiate complex and matrix reporting relationships
- Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills
- Experience in vendor management
- Advanced degree
