One of The Job Window’s rapidly growing clients is currently looking to train an Events Assistant to help oversee current locations and assist with their expansion goals.  This is an entry-level position with the opportunity for advancement into event management and event coordination within months. 
The successful entry level candidate will be responsible for the set-up and execution of in-store service events throughout the local area at large retail venues.  Clients and products represented currently have a strong focus in the Home Improvement industry and this list is continuously growing.

The Events Assistant is the company’s primary staff person responsible for lead generation and brand awareness through special events necessary to execute the activities of the company.   The company’s primary events are in store service events throughout the metro area.  The Events Assistant will be the primary point of contact on site at the events and will be directly under by the Special Events Coordinator.  The Events Assistant also attends meetings and event specific subcommittee meetings

Responsibilities:
  • Daily set-up, maintenance and operation of in-store service events
  • Oversee service event success and responsible for goal achievement
  • Communicate with audience to understand their needs and drive high levels of participation
  • Adjust events according to targets and results
  • Assisting in the daily growth and development of assigned campaigns
  • Assisting with efforts of customer acquisition and retention
  • Expertly managing the needs of external customers
  • Developing strong leadership and interpersonal skills
  • Driving sales through retail promotional campaigns
  • Build brand recognition through local events and experiential marketing
  • Interact and communicate with customers inside large retail stores
  • Problem solve and make professional judgment on whether customers qualify for the in-store services that the firm’s clients offer (candidate will be trained in this area)
  • Conduct lead generation and maintain and develop a client base for our clients who offer the in-store services
  • Aid marketing and advertising associates and senior staff with specific projects related to each client

Position Requirements:
  • College degree preferred or in the process of completion
  • 1-3 years experience in marketing, customer service, retail, brand promotions or sales OR internship completed in a related area
  • Outstanding communication skills both verbal and written
  • Superior customer service skills and able to ensure customer satisfaction
  • Access to reliable transportation to be able to attend different events
  • Desire to travel at least 1 or 2 weeks a year for further training.
  • Great attitude with a high-energy personality for best brand representation
  • Ability to excel in unsupervised solo assignments as well as team projects.
