About this job

To assist the in the daily operations of the scoop shop. To coordinate the scooping line team to ensure that the implementation of all systems fully support and comply with the operating systems put forth by the Manager.

PRIMARY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

1.Coordinate the on-line duties of the scoop shop staff for their shift, ranging from 1 to 7 employees.

2.Support and provide assistance in the training of scooping staff, as suggested by the Manager and or Assistant Manager.

3.Maintain the daily operations for their shift including store & staff appearance, customer service, cleanliness, compliance with all safety and operating standards, merchandising of gifts and production of waffle cones, cakes, novelties, and baked goods.

4.Ensure customer satisfaction by role modeling the practices of friendly, timely service and proper product handling for their shift.

5.Ensure that all opening and closing procedures are followed and executed in a timely manner for their shift.

6.Accountable for the daily tracking of the store scooping performance and ensure that the scooping percentage is within the stores posted target for their shift.

7.Accountable for maintaining the systems established by the Manager that ensure the accuracy of daily cashing in and out of all registers, sales to cash reconciliation, and daily sales and deposit summary reports for their shift.

8.Assist as requested by the Manager in the implementation of the store -marketing plan with an emphasis on marketing the store in the local community through innovative donations, catering, other off premise opportunities, and special event programs.

SECONDARY ACCOUNTABILITIES

1. Participating in store planning and development meetings with the Manager, Assistant Manager and Scoop Hosts and attending other company meetings and activities as needed.

2. Provide assistance in store specific projects and activities as directed by the Manager.

RESPONSIBILITIES

1.Overseeing employees working scheduled shift:
*Writing a To Do list for the shift
*Keeping staff productive
*Scheduling breaks
*Coaching great customer service
*Assigning table runs to keep the store clean
*Completing the Closing Checklist and walk thru with staff

2.Money Handling - it is your responsibility to make sure the money is handled accurately and that everything adds up at the end of your shift. You are also accountable for bringing up change to restock the register and the get change at the bank to restock the safe.

3.Security & Safety of staff and store- it is your responsibility to make sure the store is safe for customers and staff. It is also your responsibility to make sure the store is secure when you leave at night, that the doors and windows are locked, that all hot appliances are off, all lights are off, and freezer doors are closed.

4.Monitoring Inventory Levels - let the owner know when things are low.
