About this job
Assemble parts of units, position, align, and fasten units to assemblies,
subassemblies or frames, using hand tools and power tools. Align, and adjust
parts for proper fit and assembly.Assemble cables and harnesses from schematics
and assembly drawings using wire cutters, strippers and connector crimping tools
Assemble small electronic PCB's and assemblies using hand tools and soldering
irons. Connect cables, tubes, and wiring, according to specifications.
Attach name plates and marks identifying information on parts. Read
blueprints and specifications to determine component parts and assembly
sequences of electromechanical units. Disassemble units to replace parts or to
crate them for shipping.Measure parts to determine tolerances, using precision
measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and verniers. Clean and
lubricate parts and subassemblies.Drill, tap, ream, countersink, and
spot-face bolt holes in parts, using drill presses and portable power drills.

- Have prior experience with electro mechanical assembly or panel wiring, know the care and use of hand tools, know the correct use of a digital multi meter, ability to solder, basic
knowledge of hand crimpers for electronic connectors, have good dexterity and
eyesight, ability to lift and move bulky parts and parts weighing
50lbs. Experienced in the handling of electronic components and assemblies.
