Auto Parts Handler - Driver

Under supervision will pull, label and load parts accurately within a timely manner. Receive, sort, count and verify incoming parts against documentation for accuracy and integrity of parts for stock and distribution. Operates company vehicle in performance of delivery and pick up of goods as needed. Must comply with all local, state, and federal laws regarding over the road driver requirements.

Essential Functions:

Receives work assignments daily from the stocking supervisor regarding what lines need to be stocked in what areas.
Stocks new merchandise. Palletizes and labels overstock so that it may be handled properly.
Checks shipments for accuracy and reports the results to the stocking supervisor.
Ensures that all daily housekeeping duties are completed at end of day.
Prepares the assigned zone to begin pulling each day
Pulls orders quickly and accurately, as assigned by supervisor
Tags all completed orders to ensure that the tote goes to the proper location in shipping
Ensures that orders are picked up and signed for by the customer
Ensures that all the parts are located. Returns ticket to office if part not available so customer can be called.
Loads trucks; checks to make sure no items are missing from the loading process.
Receives freight daily, and unloads merchandise.
Operates and drives company vehicle to make deliveries and pick-ups of a variety of case goods, merchandise and related items as needed.

Required Skills
Previous work experience as a Material Handler is not required at this level.
Professional driving experience is required. Must be 21 years of age or older with a valid driving license and a good driving record.
Ability to read invoices, stock numbers, etc. in order to select the correct parts.

Simple math ability required.
Ability to use computer and bar coding equipment in a paperless warehouse is required.
Required to pass driving test. Class A or B Commercial Drivers’ License as appropriate required.
HAZMAT endorsement required.
May be required to have double trailer endorsement.
May be required to work overnight .
