The Job
Responsible for mechanical and electronic repairs of all equipment including printer and mail sorting equipment.
Performs basic repairs and routine preventive maintenance to equipment under close supervision by the Senior or Lead Tech and contributes to the maintenance of the parts and supply inventory.
Qualification
High School graduate with successful completion of Electronics course work provided at a trade school or community college preferred.
AA degree in Electronics, Computer Science or related field of study is preferred.
Computer literacy with familiarity in a Microsoft Windows environment
Strong mechanical and electrical abilities
Ability to read and follow electrical schematics
Excellent problem solving skills, including the ability to manage multiple priorities and work under deadline pressures
Work well with others, team orientation
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work a flexible schedule and overtime as required
Ability to take instruction or direction
Ability to be on-call during designated periods
Ability to read, understand and follow electrical schematics
The ability to travel 10% of the time

- Promptly responds to equipment failures and participates in equipment moves or upgrades.
- Understands and utilizes basic Infor EAM functions and follows TQM operating standards
- Attends appropriate technical training classes and studies and reviews all pertinent vendor technical manuals and publications
- Completes all necessary technical documentation
- Regular scheduled attendance.
