Headway Workforce Solutions is currently seeking a survey research Field Supervisor to work on research study. Qualified Field Supervisor candidates must live within the Los Angeles County area, and must be comfortable and experienced managing a team of field staff.

FSs will work on a study being fielded in Los Angeles as part of the National Asset Scorecard of Communities of Color. RTI will conduct in-person interviews with respondents in Los Angeles County, California. This project will study the assets and debts of specific racial and ethnic groups and will examine the association of certain factors with household wealth.

Position Description
The Field Supervisor (FS) position is intended to provide quality control, production management, and Field Interviewer support and oversight. Field Interviewers (FIs) working on the National Asset Scorecard & Communities of Color Survey (NASCCS) will report to the Field Supervisor. The FS will help interview, train, coach and supervise FIs, perform administrative duties related to the project, monitor and manage SLI productivity, costs, and work quality.

This is a part-time position anticipated to begin with training towards the end of November, and last until April 2015.

Job Duties
  • Interview, hire and retain qualified Field Interviewers (FIs)
  • Conduct or participate in Field Interviewer training program
  • Prepare FI work assignments to ensure cost-effective field implementation
  • Provide continuing supervision and support of FIs throughout the data collection period
  • Adjust FI work assignments, as necessary, to ensure adherence to project schedule and attainment of established performance requirements
  • Review FI production, time, and expense reports to ensure timely, accurate, and reasonable project charges
  • Meet performance expectations in areas of efficiency, quality, screening and interviewing completion rates, and schedule
  • Maintain confidentiality at all times
  • Work with employing agency to handle production, quality, and other performance issues
