Maintenance Technician - Full-time / Part-time

DISH Network has an employment opportunity for individuals with energy, intellect, and the need to achieve as a Maintenance Technician. Our facility in Suwanee, GA is one of 3 bulk distribution sites in the United States where we handle shipping and receiving of DISH's various DVR products.

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and 1 year of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Good written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
• Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

Responsibilities

The Maintenance Technician supports the installation, configuration, operation and maintenance of the mechanical operating systems with the distribution center. Troubleshoots, tests, modifies, and repairs operational electrical machinery, electrical control equipment and circuitry in the distribution center. Responsible for all general building maintenance.

The job responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

• Works at the direction of the Manager of Facilities.
• Independently works on various building projects including repair and maintenance of specialized equipment, general electrical, HVAC, plumbing, painting, trash removal, carpet care, furniture repair, and any other general building maintenance.
• Interacts with vendors, management and internal customers to provide service on a variety of needs for any services required inside or outside of the building.
• Works along side of employees on projects that are assigned to the maintenance staff.
• Files and maintains records of equipment maintenance.
• Aids in determining effective use of office and building space.
• Assists with department relocation of the setting up of office space for new employees.
• May be required to be available at off duty times.
