Time Warner Cable New York City region is currently seeking a Tech 4 to join our Construction Department. This position is part of a bargaining unit The position will be based out of College Point in Queens.
Essential Job Function
- Will be expected to construct and maintain the outside plant, including aerial, underground, and block wire construction.
- Daily routine would include pole transfers, damage repair, correction of utility space violations, plant rearrangement, and construction of plant extensions.
- Other duties as assigned.Job Requirements/Qualifications
- Must be able to work with various hand tools such as electric drills, hammers, wrenches, screwdrivers, etc.
- Knowledge of CATV required.
- Must to able to read and interpret maps and building plans. Must have a valid driver ' s license from either: NY, NJ, CT or PA along with a clean driving record.
- Able to prioritize while working in a fast paced environment.
- Must successfully complete all company required training.
- Will also be required to work overtime, weekends and late shifts as needed.
- Required to work outdoors in inclement weather.
- This position is part of a bargaining unit.
- Must have a High School Diploma or GED; at least 2 years of previous experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
