Extrusion Operator

Seeking a skilled extrusion operator to operated extrusion machines.
Perform set ups and change overs
Perform in-process quality checks on products

RESPONSIBILITIES OF THIS POSITION - CORE:
* To support the vision, mission and guiding principles of the company.
* While performing any procedure, all associates and contract personnel must observe applicable Safety, Health, and Environmental rules and guidelines. The use of appropriate personal protective equipment is required.
* Attend and participate in training opportunities and seminars relevant to this position.
* Adhere to appropriate company operating procedures, benefit rules, employment policies and safety policies.
* Frequent contact with Associates outside of the department.
* Occasional contact with Management outside of the department.

RESPONSIBILITIES OF THIS POSITION - PRODUCTION:
* Ensures production is in accordance with proper procedures and methods.
* Sees that certain controls, such as thickness, length, and width checks are accomplished in accordance with established procedure.
* Regularly inspects the quality of the work produced.
* Processes daily paperwork.
* Assists on special projects to develop new processes, equipment, and/or product.
* Responsible for maintaining high standards of safety and housekeeping.
* Performs packaging and shipping function from warehouse 80.
* Alerts supervisor of needs and problems.
* Performs other duties as required by Management.

* Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. Qualifications: Seeking a candidate with manufacturing experience who understands manufacturing processes
Must be able to utilize basic measuring tools
Machine operation experience
Computer skills

* Preferred - High School diploma or general education degree (GED).
* Required - Ability to use a calculator and tape measure.
* Required - Read, Write and Comprehend English.
Required - 3 years experience as a Level 2 Technician Performance Expectations: Must be able to operate and run extrusion machines
