PrideStaff Financial has partnered with our far North Dallas client in search of a dynamic Cash Applications Specialist to join their team! This is a direct hire opportunity!
We are seeking a professional Cash Application Specialist capable of independent thought who can take this position and make it their own. We offer a dynamic and challenging environment with advancement opportunities in which you will apply your skills and knowledge to redefine the Cash Applications process while supporting the goals of the finance team. This position is much more than only cash applications!
Primary Responsibilities
- Reconcile and accurately post payments (lockbox, , ACH/Wires, credit card and EDI payments
- Highly organized. Responsible for maintaining proper records files and documentation
- Effectively communicate with peers and management
- Investigates and resolves problems and questions
Required Skills
- Excel
- Analytical, detail-oriented and organizational skills
- Familiarity managing and documenting customer deductions (preferably retail customers)
- Excellent communication skills
- Experience with ERP systems, preferably Lawson
Required Experience
- Degree preferred
- Previous cash applications experience
- Experience working with EDI 820 files
