Account Manager

Whelan Security is looking for a talented and driven leader to manage our service while working with one of the leading firms in the financial services industry.

The Account Manager is responsible for leading and managing security and EMT personnel. Specific responsibilities include:
  • Supervise the day-to-day security service provided to the facility and ensure service is of the highest standards – capable of representing Whelan as the premier provider of security services in the industry
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with client and employees and serve as the liaison between Whelan, our client, and our assigned staff
  • Meet regularly with client to address problems and offer solutions, provide status updates, communicate needs, and ensure contract compliance and complete customer satisfaction
  • Participate in the recruitment, selection, orientation, training, and continual development of staff assigned to the account, including security officers and EMTs
  • Perform off-hour visits, review security logs, and regularly inspect all posts to ensure company and client policies and procedures have been properly implemented
  • Manage the schedule and coordinate payroll for approximately 800 hours per week
  • Train security personnel to provide a high level customer service in a financial contact center environment with a large employee population, and respond to security threats or emergencies
  • Lead and manage 24 hour operations of security and EMT staff


Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have at least 3+ years of leadership experience. A college degree (Associates or greater) is preferred although equivalent experience will be considered. Previous experience in emergency services, contract security, military, or law enforcement is desirable, as are professional certifications.

Candidates must demonstrate a stable work history and pass an extensive background screening which includes, but is not limited to, criminal background checks (local, state, and federal), drug test, aptitude tests, skills assessments, interviews, past employment verification, and a personality profile (behavioral assessment).
