Manpower is currently hiring a CNC Machine Operator for one of our clients in North Charleston, South Carolina!
Main Responsibilities:Demonstrates ability to properly start or restart CNC machine after power is interrupted or as a new start up. Can re-zero all axes and begin machining process at proper point in program. Demonstrates ability to monitor and add coolant and lubrication levels as needed. Demonstrates ability to work with process plan, blueprints, and program in prescribed sequence. Demonstrates ability to read machine program codes. Demonstrates ability to properly place parts, casting or stock in machine securely and accurately. Demonstrates ability properly operate CNC machine to perform prescribed functions on drawing. Knows and demonstrates the ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings, blueprints, customer specifications and internal drawings and procedures. Demonstrates ability to understand Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing. Demonstrates the ability to use precision measurement equipment to check parts to process (i.e. OD mics, dial indicators, micro-height, plug gages, etc.) Demonstrates ability to bring machine tool back to desired location and resume cycle if cycle has been interrupted. Understands function of, proper usage and resetting of Emergency Stop Button. Demonstrates ability to ensure tool lengths correspond to offset register. Exhibits full working knowledge of tool presetter. Demonstrates ability to identify alarm codes and respond with corrective measures. Demonstrates knowledge of door interlocks, interlock released light and button. On/off buttons, and panel lock key. Demonstrates knowledge of multi-screen functions, alpha and numeric keypads and machine controls (i.e. alter, insert, delete, input, up, down, lft ,rght, pos, prog, system, message, settings, network, etc.) Demonstrates ability to operate and understand function of mode switch and function keys (i.e. mem, mid, tape, edit, handle, job, rapid, zero return, SBK. OSP. BDT. PSM. PST. DRN). Exhibit understanding of status lights. Demonstrates and understands proper use of Directional Jog Buttons. Demonstrates and understands proper use of Rapid Traverse Override Buttons. Demonstrates and understands proper use of Feed Rate Override Buttons. Knows and demonstrates the ability to determine and input proper wear and geometry offsets. Knows and demonstrates the ability to determine all tooling is free from breaks, chips and abnormal wear. Demonstrates and understands proper use of the MFG Pro system to applicable job requirements.
Job Requirements:High School Diploma/GED Required. At least six (6) months of related or applicable experience
Additional Details:Pay Rate: $13/hr Length of Contract: 12 months
