Summary of Duties and Responsibilities
- To provide resource to Manufacturing Engineer in the assembly of electrical/mechanical assembly and test fixtures, performing experiments and collecting data.
- Perform root cause analysis and recommend corrective actions in response to manufacturing issues.
- Build and Document electrical and mechanical test fixtures for use by either manufacturing or subcontractors.
- Maintain existing mechanical and electrical test fixtures and update work instructions as required.
- Review drawings for manufacturability and potential cost reductions.
- Perform experiments and collect data as instructed by manufacturing engineers.
- Actively supports and adheres to the Quality Policy and Quality System procedures.
Job Requirements
Qualifications
- Ability to read mechanical drawings and use mechanical measurement equipment.
- Ability to read electrical schematics and use associated test equipment (Oscilliscope, VOM, etc)
- Familiarity with x-ray technology helpful.
Education
- Two year Electro Mechanical Technical Training.
Experience
- 2 years experience in the manufacture and test of capital equipment.
Specialized Knowledge
- Microsoft Excel
