In this Solution Architect role, you will be responsible for analyzing business requirements, performing options analysis, ensuring quality/alignment of Designs, and you will demonstrate and apply knowledge of enterprise architecture and standards. You will also be responsible for the development, communication and implementation of the organization's technology architecture for employer solutions.  Including detailing the components required to support employer solutions.


 


The candidate will be responsible for the solution design for employer solutions and the candidate will work with Optum IT align and leverage existing architecture against future needs.. The candidate will work in a collaborative manner with Project Managers and other stakeholders to ensure solution design is reasonable and attainable. The candidate will work proactively with the Sales and Bid Teams to ensure that the solution designs meet the needs of the market. The candidate will also perform Project audits as determined by the Executive Management to provide feedback to the executive management.


 


Primary responsibilities:



  • Create Information Architecture models for existing and new employer focused healthcare requirements

  • Create Technology Architecture models for existing and new employer focused healthcare requirements.

  • Create, document and communicate Architect Information workflows to all business stakeholders

  • Provide guidance to design and development teams in converting architecture to design, development and implementation

  • Provide solutioning support to capture activities (bids and proposals), including designing solutions to meet future needs

  • Be involved in solving moderately complex problems and/or conduct moderately complex analysis

  • You will provide explanation and information to others on difficult issues

  • Maintain knowledge of current domains and strategic roadmaps, as set by Product and Sales teams

  • Incorporate software and system architecture into conceptual designs

  • Support applicable modeling efforts (e.g., data modeling, process modeling, hardware modeling, performance modeling)

  • You will provide oversight of conceptual designs to ensure alignment with enterprise architecture governance (e.g., principles, information governance requirements, security policies, standards, future-state reference architectures)

  • Maintain awareness of current technology assets, and the applicability and capability of each

  • Responsible for maintaining awareness of current business and industry issues/trends and incorporate into enterprise architecture designs as appropriate

 


 

Requirements

Required Qualifications:



  • Exposure to Architect Data Models

  • Architect Technology layers for secure multi-tier web applications

  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience

  • 3 or more years experience in Systems Solutions Management Lifecycle (from Solutions Inception through Solutions Delivery)

  • 4 or more years experience in large scale web based system architecture and design

  • Experience in performing competitive analysis of 3rd party products

  • Experience in all aspects of Information Technology Architecture which includes Data, Platforms, Integration, Application and Networks

  • Experience in providing support for bids and proposals

  • Experience with Agile methodology

  • Solid understanding of industry patterns for application architecture and integration

Assets:



  • Experience in articulating architecture to key stakeholders (client, executives and others) through presentation materials, concept of operations and any other relevant means

  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Access)

  • Health care industry IT experience
