Position Highlights
POSITION OBJECTIVE

The Human Resource Generalist acts as an HR liaison in the business on various associate relations issues. The goal of this position is to increases the effectiveness and efficiency of Human Resources by providing front line support to assigned divisions. These activities may include but are not limited to answering routine associate questions, analyzing workforce related data, and conducting exit interviews.

Job Description
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES Advise others on policies, procedures, and regulations
  • Provide day-to-day guidance, coaching, and support to management and staff regarding employee relation issues, performance behaviors, interpretation of employment laws, and policies and procedures.
  • Provide factual information to managers and associates on the application of company policies and procedures.
  • Assist Human Resource Manager in resolving associate relations issues.
  • Assist in revising and maintaining existing policies and procedures in compliance with changing company needs and the law, including but not limited to, the Associate Handbook, Policy and Procedure Manual, and Business Ethics Handbook.
  • Conduct investigations and make recommendations regarding issues of staff disputes or misconduct.
  • Handle routine inquiries related to HR topics.
Conduct research/benchmarking/analysis
  • Coordinate and collect relevant data related for investigation and government regulation.
  • Conduct HR trend analysis, creates reports, and provides actionable solutions.
Administer HR processes and activities
  • Responsible for termination paperwork, exit interview process, and analysis.
  • Coordinate forum for open exchange of ideas including associate roundtables.
  • Coordinate performance appraisal program to ensure effectiveness, compliance, and equity within the organization.


Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS required
  • Multiple years Employee Relations or Human Resource Generalist experience.
  • Strong knowledge of and ability to interpret and apply policies, procedures, and laws.
  • Projects a sensitive and professional image on behalf of the organization.
  • Comfortable routinely handling confidential information responsibly.
  • Identifies issues to be handled and those which may need to be elevated.
