Caregiver - Full-time / Part-time

Arizona MENTOR is seeking Direct Support Professionals/Caregivers to provide assistance to our individuals with disabilities in a Day Program setting.

DSPs provide assistance with daily activities such as meal preparation and planning, medication administration, and personal care. DSPs may also facilitate community involvement by accompanying individuals on outings in the community or providing transportation to work or other activities. In addition, DSPs support therapeutic and behavioral plans in partnership with clinical staff to enhance the quality of life for those we support.

We accept walk-ins Monday and Wednesday from 9am-2pm at our Phoenix office: 2700 N. 3rd St. Suite 4000 Phoenix, AZ 85004.

Positions are available in locations throughout the Phoenix metropolitan area, including the following cities:

• Phoenix, Peoria, Glendale, Scottsdale, Chandler, Mesa

Initial Training Requirement--Paid Training:

Approximately 36 hours of mandatory paid training sessions are held in Phoenix prior to providing care to individuals. Sessions are held Monday through Saturday between the hours of 8:00am and 7:00pm.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED
• Must be 18 years of age
• Valid driver’s license in good standing
• Car registration and vehicle insurance if providing transportation for individuals receiving services
• Six months of experience in human services preferred
• Successful clearance of local and/or state background checks
