Direct Support Professional:
REM Central Lakes, Inc. is seeking PART TIME (includes working every other weekend) Direct Support Professionals to provide services within our medical and behavioral health programs located throughout the Little Falls and surrounding areas. This position includes driving to various homes to provide support to individuals and their families. We offer a supportive team environment and a flexible schedule to complement our benefits package and non-traditional benefits.
Description
By joining our team as a Direct Support Professional (DSP), you will work with individuals with a range of challenges including intellectual and developmental disabilities to restore and retain basic health functioning, independent living and community skills. REM Central Lakes, Inc. offers residential services with supports tailored to the needs of each individual, including assistance with daily activities such as meal preparation and planning; medication administration; and personal cares. DSPs may also facilitate community involvement by accompanying individuals on outings in their community or providing transportation to work or other activities. In addition, DSPs support therapeutic and behavioral plans in partnership with clinical staff to encourage individuals to be as independent as possible and enhance the quality of life for those we support.
QualificationsRequirements:
- High School diploma or GED
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Minimum one-year experience in human services, healthcare or related field preferred
- Successful clearance of local and/or state background checks
- Valid driver's license in good standing
- Car registration and vehicle insurance required if providing transportation for individuals receiving services
