Next Door Bar & Grill is proud to offer its guests a one-of-a-kind dining experience in an environment that exudes positivism and energy. In order to do this, we recognize how important it is to have the right employees in place to ensure each visit to our restaurant starts and ends with best service possible. Our Front of the House team members are the face of Next Door and play an integral role in the ensuring guests receive the attention and incredible service they expect during their visit.

Front of the House positions include: Restaurant Supervisor, Lead Host/ Hostess, Host/ Hostess, Server, Server Assistant, Food Runner, Lead Bartender, Bartender, Service Bartender

What abilities I must bring to the table to be considered: Experience working in restaurant service or other industry experienceProvide incredible customer service , greeting customers and answering questions in a friendly manner, proactively offering assistance and providing accurate and timely information, making product/ service recommendations and accommodating special requestsPossess teamwork and diversity awareness by listening to others' points of view and recognizing and appreciating differencesRecognize and seek opportunities for continuous learning to gain new understandings, skills and knowledgeProperly handle, prepare, transport and store products; ensuring food and human safety practices are strictly adhered toPossess organizational skills , prioritizing requests and department activities while managing interruptions and attending to details to complete tasks within deadlinesAbility to multi-task and react to a variety of situations at one timeExhibit adaptability when faced with changes in the workplace, remaining positive, calm and focused when under pressure or when dealing with ambiguous situationsWrite and speak clearly, concisely and with tact in a variety of settings using effective communication skills; demonstrating empathy and respect for others at all timesRelate well to others using interpersonal savvy to foster two-way communication and develop effective relationships; recognize differences in communication styles and maintain composure

What might set me apart from other candidates: Basic knowledge of beer, liquor and wineCertification of training in liquor, wine, food service and/ or alcohol awareness programs

Work Environment: Work involves continuous interaction with customers and co-workers in a fast-paced environmentMay be exposed to various allergensWill be required to spend the majority of time standing and walking for prolonged periods without a breakSpecific motions, weight lifting requirements, temperature conditions and equipment used will vary by position
