We're looking for a Nurse Practitioner with experience working within nursing homes to join our team as a Clinical Advisor who will manage their caseload while coaching and mentoring other NPs out in the field.

Key responsibilities of the Clinical Advisor include:



  • Working with nurse practitioners out in the field

  • Planning, scheduling, implementation of orientation plans with new NPs

  • Work with development of existing NP staff

  • Coaching and mentoring other NPs

  • Building relationships with facility staff and physicians

  • Educating NPs on the OptumHealth model

  • Working with leadership on developmental issues

  • 25-50% caseload medical management and 50-75% education activities

Requirements


Required Qualifications:



  • Current, unrestricted NP license the State where this position is located or ability to obtain

  • At least 2-3 years of NP expereince

  • DEA License or ability to obtain

  • Nurse Practitioner national certification as ANP, FNP, or GNP or ability to obtain

  • A clinical background in adult, family or geriatric specialties

  • Past experience working in a nursing home or with seniors in other settings

  • Intermediate level of proficiency in PC based word processing including Microsoft Word and Outlook

  • Must have reliable transportation
