This position is for a Middleware Operational Technical Lead to oversee and provide direction for Middleware design, support and integration for Optum involvement in State Health Exchanges. Skills need to be specialized in Java, WebServices, SOA, SOAP, WSDL, DataPower, Authorization/Authentication, Web Middleware. Most middleware stack we have seen to date are comprised of the following Middleware components, Oracle SOA Application Stack, Oracle Application Operations, Oracle HTTP Server, Oracle Enterprise Service Bus, Oracle Business Process Manager (BPM/BPEL), Oracle Policy Manager, Oracle Access Management (OAM), Oracle Directory Services, Oracle Identity Governance (OIM), Oracle Enterprise Manager, Oracle Application Development Framework (ADF) and Oracle Weblogic Server. Knowledge in this Oracle stack is a must. Along with architectural knowledge, leadership skills are a must. It will be necessary for this person to work with the team to guide and delegate daily work, assess skills and provide education on new technologies or processes as needed.


 


Responsibilities:


 


Evaluates system specifications, input/output processes, and working parameters for hardware/software compatibility.


Analyze all aspects of the existing infrastructure and recommends modifications that will enhance system reliability, availability, serviceability and scalability.


Work with teammates, clients and other teams to identify and address systems problems.


Evaluate new developments and recommend infrastructure modifications.


Provide in depth consultation to application teams on a variety of different applications.


Assist in defining standards, guidelines, best practices and metrics.


Solves unique and complex problems with broad impact on the business.


Translates highly complex concepts in ways that can be understood by a variety of audiences.

Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience


Knowledge of Java Containers (JBOSS, WebSphere, Weblogic, etc)


Experience with leading technical initiatives for middleware environments


Experience driving architectural solutions, by means of data and requirements gathering


 


Assets


 


Experience with any of the Oracle SOA Suite of products


Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Access)


Proficiency with MS Visio


Healthcare Industry experience


Database Administration experience
