This nationwide company is a leader in the development of animal genomics along with the manufacturing and distribution of a variety of animal healthcare products, including diagnostics, pharmaceuticals, veterinary instruments, would care and disinfectants. The Lincoln research facility is seeking a qualified analyst to format and analyze genotyping data. This position will also serve to help with troubleshooting and database management for various breed associations. RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE: *Work with lab operations to facilitate data transmittal to customers via LIMS *Write scripts and macros to help with parentage assignment and other genetic trait data analysis *Work with sales and customer service to assist breed associations with data analysis and supporting issues *Work with various groups for data reformats/structures in order for further analysis with software *Provide quality control review of data *As time allows work to streamline data analysis pipeline *Maintains an advanced knowledge of genotyping analysis including identification of quality issues or when troubleshooting is required. *Proficiency in designing and providing input to the laboratory technicians as they perform their daily tasks. Gains an understanding of the customer needs from the Product Manager to manage daily workload and delivery of data. *Maintain the ability to operate all electronic and robotic equipment essential to Illumina processing. This includes all hand held electronic repeaters, multichannel pipettes along with the Eppendorf and Tecan Liquid handling robots. *Proficiency in a variety of molecular biology techniques and familiarity of several technology platforms. *Maintains essential lab equipment, communicates with vendors and service technicians. *Works within budgeted expenses and maintains a constant focus on cost reduction. *Maintains laboratory notebooks, archives, catalog of studies and sample repository. *Interacts routinely with all levels of management and co-workers in an effective manner. *Meets individual and departmental goals and objectives. *Works with Quality manager and supports ISO procedures including development, documentation and execution. *Other duties as assigned by Supervisor SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATES POSSESS: Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university in genetics, molecular biology, biology, or related field Advanced graduate degree in biological science preferred Apply Today! www.manpowerjobs.com
